VADAMALAPETA • ROOTS THAT CALL US HOME
Mana Ooru Mana Seva brings together everyone whose story began in Vadamalapeta—wherever in the world life has taken them.
A village is not merely a place—it is the memory that reminds us who we are.
Vadamalapeta is a mandal headquarters on the outskirts of Tirupati, set in the cultural landscape of Rayalaseema. Its identity lives in more than maps—in family courtyards, festival mornings, field paths, school friendships and the familiar sound of Telugu spoken at home.
Administratively, Vadamalapeta became part of the newly formed Tirupati district in 2022. For those who grew up here, however, its true geography is emotional: the old street, the temple bell, the neighbour who still remembers your childhood name.

A BLESSING CLOSE TO HOME
About 16 km from Tirupati, this celebrated TTD temple is known for the Lord’s Abhaya Hasta—the blessing hand. Temple tradition recalls that Lord Venkateswara blessed sages here after his divine wedding with Goddess Padmavathi.
Built under the rulers of Karvetinagaram, the complex also includes shrines for Andal and Padmavathi Ammavaru, with Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy opposite the main temple.
